The statistics say that in Ukraine there are only 90 men for 100 girls, 50 percents of who are hard drinkers, 20 percents are lazy easy-riders, the half of the rest 30% has unbalanced mind and we also have to count those who are homosexuals and who are already married. So having such a “great choice” Ukrainian woman has to find a man of her dreams. And as a result woman during all her life has to hail her husband-looser and two their children, working, cooking, cleaning and doing all the things that European woman doesn’t know about even their existence. And we shouldn’t forget that high hills and skirts that they have to wear in order to feel attractive. Ukrainian women culture demands that a guest has to be well-fed and proposed to stay at this house for as long as it’s possible.
2. Superstitions and Mysticism. Ukrainian women culture is full of different superstitious beliefs what one can do and what can’t. For example it is forbidden to greet somebody through a doorstep or to whistle in the house. Some people don’t believe in these superstitions but still prefer not to risk.
3. House and Family. Ukrainian women culture has agricultural roots. Almost every family has some relatives in villages. Often grandparents live with children helping in grandchildren’s upbringing.
